🍽️ Bee BanhMi in Cary, NC
Toward the end of the 3.5 months I lived in Melbourne, I went with some friends to an amazing banh mi shop in the suburbs. When I returned to North Carolina, I made it my mission to find one here.
Bee BanhMi (Google Maps link) hits pretty close. The baguette is both crunchy and soft. The veggies are fresh and the pork is well grilled (there are also alternate protein options). There’s a perfect amount of sweetness and heat. The Thai tea was perfect. The lunch special is just $10 for sandwich, side, and lemon or milk tea. I’ll definitely be back—for the special plus dumplings next time.
